This Privacy Policy explains how iDocScanner ("iDocScanner", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the iDocScanner mobile application.

iDocScanner is developed and operated by an individual developer. iDocScanner is available globally and is provided free of charge.

By using iDocScanner, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. About iDocScanner

iDocScanner is a document and PDF utility application that allows users to:

• Scan physical documents using the device camera.
• Create PDF and JPG files from scanned documents.
• Read PDF files.
• Select documents using Android's document/file picker.
• Convert images to PDF.
• Convert PDF pages to images.
• Compress PDF files.
• Resize images.
• Save, download, open, and share files created or processed by the user.

2. Information We Do Not Collect or Store

iDocScanner is designed so that the documents and images processed through the application's core document features are handled on the user's device.

We do not operate our own server for storing users' scanned documents, PDFs, JPG images, or other files processed by these features.

When you scan a document or process an image/PDF:

• The selected or scanned files are processed for the requested feature.
• The resulting file is created on the device.
• The user may save, download, open, or share the resulting file.
• The user controls where the resulting file is saved or where it is shared.

We do not claim ownership of the documents, images, PDFs, or other content that you create, select, process, or share using iDocScanner.

3. Camera Permission

iDocScanner may request access to your device camera for its document scanning functionality.

Camera access is only needed when you choose to use the document scanning feature.

The camera is declared as optional because iDocScanner can be used without scanning documents with the camera.

If you deny camera permission, you can still use features that do not require camera access, such as PDF reading and selecting files through Android's system document picker.

We do not use the camera to continuously monitor you or to access the camera when you are not using a camera-dependent feature.

4. File and Document Access

For features such as PDF reading, image-to-PDF conversion, PDF-to-image conversion, PDF compression, and image resizing, iDocScanner may use Android's built-in document/file selection mechanisms.

When you select a file, you are choosing which file iDocScanner may access for the requested operation.

iDocScanner does not require broad device storage access for these document-selection features when Android's system file picker is used.

iDocScanner does not automatically scan, upload, or collect unrelated files from your device.

5. Internet and Network Information

iDocScanner requires Internet/network access for certain third-party services and application functionality.

The application may use network connectivity for services such as advertising, notifications, application services, security, diagnostics, or other functionality provided through integrated third-party SDKs.

The core document files that you scan or select are not uploaded to a server operated by us merely because you use the scanning, PDF reading, conversion, compression, or image resizing features.

6. Advertising

iDocScanner is a free application and may display advertisements.

We may use third-party advertising and monetization services, including:

• Google AdMob
• Meta Audience Network / Facebook
• AppLovin
• Unity Ads

These third-party advertising providers may collect or process information such as advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, approximate location, app usage information, diagnostic information, and other information that may be necessary for delivering, measuring, preventing fraud in, or improving advertisements, subject to their own privacy policies and applicable laws.

The information collected by these advertising providers is handled according to their respective privacy policies and terms.

We do not sell your scanned documents, PDFs, or personal files to advertisers.

For users in jurisdictions where consent is required for personalized advertising or other forms of data processing, applicable consent mechanisms may be presented before the relevant processing takes place.

Google provides consent-management mechanisms for applicable users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland and supports privacy choices for certain U.S. state privacy requirements.

7. Firebase

iDocScanner may use services provided by Google Firebase.

Depending on the Firebase services enabled in the application, Firebase may process information such as device information, application information, diagnostics, crash information, identifiers, and usage-related information.

The exact information processed depends on the Firebase products enabled in the current version of the application.

Firebase services are provided by Google and are subject to Google's applicable privacy practices.

If additional Firebase services are enabled in the future, this Privacy Policy may be updated accordingly.

8. Push Notifications

iDocScanner may use OneSignal and/or Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to provide push notifications.

Push notification services may process information such as:

• Push notification tokens.
• Device and application identifiers.
• Basic device information.
• Notification delivery information.

These services are used to deliver notifications requested or enabled for the application.

You may control notification permissions through your Android device settings.

9. Third-Party Service Providers

iDocScanner may integrate third-party software development kits (SDKs) and services for advertising, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, application functionality, and other purposes.

Third-party providers may independently collect and process certain information from your device according to their own privacy policies.

Our integration of a third-party service does not mean that we control that provider's independent data processing practices.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of the relevant third-party providers.

Google Play requires developers to account for data collection by third-party SDKs integrated into an application and to keep privacy disclosures consistent with the application's actual data practices.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information within our control.

However, no method of electronic transmission, storage, or processing can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Because iDocScanner does not operate a server for storing your scanned documents and processed files, your files remain primarily under your control on your device, except when you voluntarily share or transfer them using another application or service.

11. Data Retention

We do not retain scanned documents, PDFs, JPG files, or other user-selected files on servers operated by us.

Files created by iDocScanner may remain on your device if you choose to save them. You can manage or delete those files using your device's file-management functionality.

Information processed by third-party services, such as advertising or notification providers, may be retained according to their own policies and applicable laws.

12. Children's Privacy

iDocScanner is a general-purpose utility application.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.

13. Your Privacy Choices

You can control certain permissions and privacy choices through your Android device settings, including:

• Camera permission.

For example, when you share a PDF or image, the selected third-party application may receive the file directly according to your action.

Once information or files are transferred to a third party by your choice, that third party's privacy policy and terms govern its handling of the information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the application, third-party services, legal requirements, or our data practices.

When changes are made, the updated Privacy Policy will be published with a new effective date.
